March 10, 2020<\/strong><\/p>\n

Police are investigating an apparent road rage incident at Wooroolin last week during which a 57-year-old woman was assaulted.<\/p>\n

Officer-in-charge of Kingaroy Police, Senior Sergeant David Tierney, said the woman was driving a Suzuki on the Bunya Highway about 10:50am on March 3.<\/p>\n

It will be alleged the woman pulled her vehicle over after being tailgated by a white Holden Commodore.<\/p>\n

“The male driver allegedly approached the woman\u2019s vehicle and threatened to take her registration and also threatened the woman before slamming her car door on her arm,” Snr Sgt Tierney said.<\/p>\n

“The unknown offender then drove off.”<\/p>\n

The man is described as Caucasian, about 175cm tall, of thin build with brown hair, a goatee and moustache.<\/p>\n

He was wearing a dark shirt and shorts.<\/p>\n

A female police officer suffered minor injuries after allegedly being assaulted twice by a woman in Kingaroy on Friday.<\/strong><\/p>\n

At 11:30pm, police responded to a disturbance at a hotel in Haly Street after a woman was refused entry.<\/p>\n

The woman was arrested due to her behaviour.<\/p>\n

Police will allege that while being restrained, she struck a female police officer in the face.<\/p>\n

The woman also allegedly punched the same female officer twice in the head while being placed in the watchhouse.<\/p>\n

A 28-year-old Kingaroy woman has been charged with driving whilst under the influence of liquor, driving while suspended, committing a public nuisance offence and two counts of serious assault on police. She will appear in the Kingaroy Magistrates Court on March 3o.<\/p>\n

          • A 72-year-old Burpengary man will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on April 6 charged with drink-driving after police pulled over his Holden sedan in Harris Road, Kingaroy, at 9:00am on March 3. He returned a positive result to a roadside breath test (0.07 BAC).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            • \u00a0A 37-year-old Wattle Camp man\u00a0will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on March 30\u00a0charged with driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle after police stopped at Toyota sedan on\u00a0Meiers Road, Kingaroy, at 12:45pm on March 4.\u00a0Police will also seek the forfeiture of the vehicle.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

              Kingaroy Police responded to a variety of incidents between March 2-8 including drug, property and traffic-related offences.
