Constable Connor Miller’s curly locks have gone but the fight against blood cancer is more than $2000 better off because of her bravery.<\/p>\n

The police officer decided to Shave For A Cure on Friday morning in Kingaroy to support the Leukaemia Foundation’s annual fundraising drive.<\/p>\n

Her colleagues at the Kingaroy Police Station organised a sausage sizzle to help her raise funds.<\/p>\n

While her young daughter Rose looked on in astonishment, Const Miller went under the electric razor, wielded expertly by Sue Heinemann from “Haircuts on Haly”.<\/p>\n

As the the curls fell to the ground, Rose tried to put them back on her mum’s head … much to the amusement of onlookers.<\/p>\n

Const Miller had raised “a bit over $1500” before the shave.<\/p>\n

But she was surprised immediately afterwards when retired police inspector Barry Krosch presented her with a cheque for $500 to add to her tally.<\/p>\n
