World Day of Prayer \u2013 an interdenominational Christian celebration \u2013 will be celebrated in the South Burnett on Friday, March 6.<\/p>\n

The World Day of Prayer<\/a><\/strong> is a global ecumenical movement started by women which is celebrated annually in more than 170 countries on the first Friday in March.<\/p>\n

In the South Burnett, the host venue for each town\u2019s celebration rotates annually between different church denominations.<\/p>\n

Every year, the worship service focuses on a different country and a specific theme.<\/p>\n

This year the ecumenical service has been prepared by the Christian women of Zimbabwe with the theme\u00a0\u201cRise! Take Your Mat and Walk\u201d .<\/p>\n

The women from Zimbabwe are taking the Gospel story as a call to act now for peace and reconciliation.<\/p>\n

      • Kingaroy<\/strong> – 9:30am at St Michael and All Angels Anglican Church, Alford Street<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        • Kumbia<\/strong> –\u00a0 1:00pm at the Uniting Church, 35 Bell Street<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          • Murgon<\/strong> – 9:30am at St Joseph’s Catholic Church, 38 Angel Avenue<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
              \n
            • Nanango<\/strong> – 10:00am at\u00a0the Wesleyan Methodist Church, Cairns Street<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
                \n
              • Wondai<\/strong> – 10:00am at St Mary’s\u00a0Anglican Church, corner of Bramston and Baynes streets<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                • Yarraman<\/b> – 10:00am at St Philip’s Anglican Church, 22 Millar Street<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
