February 20, 2020<\/strong><\/p>\n Two Kingaroy police officers were injured while attempting to arrest a man at a house in River Road on Wednesday afternoon.<\/p>\n Officer-in-charge of Kingaroy Police, Senior Sergeant Dave Tierney, said police were called to a disturbance at the residence about 4:45pm.<\/p>\n Police will allege that when they entered the house they found a man inside who immediately became hostile towards the officers.<\/p>\n The man stood up and allegedly pushed the officers and kicked both in the chest and legs on several occasions.<\/p>\n A 33-year-old Kingaroy man has been charged with one count of failing to dispose of syringe and two counts of serious assault police. <\/p>\n He was due to appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on Thursday.<\/p>\n Snr Sgt Tierney said both officers were treated for minor injuries, including scratches to their arms and hands.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Two Kingaroy police officers were injured while attempting to arrest a man at a house in River Road on Wednesday afternoon.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":20,"featured_media":219648,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":[],"categories":[3,24],"tags":[1132],"yoast_head":"\n
