Blackbutt digital artist Sam Blanch’s winning design will feature on this year Blackbutt Avocado Festival poster.<\/p>\n

Sam’s design was unveiled on Sunday at the Blackbutt Australia Day celebrations.<\/p>\n

Organising committee chairman Jeff Connor said the festival poster competition had attracted lots of attention.<\/p>\n

“We are also pleased to say the winner is a local,\u201d Jeff said.<\/p>\n

The committee appreciated Sam’s design and composition.<\/p>\n

Sam said he enjoyed drawing the curved outline of the avocado and how they look grouped together, intact or cut in half.<\/p>\n

Jeff said planning had already begun for this year’s festival, which will be held on Saturday, September 12.<\/p>\n

“There will be more stalls, another parachute drop, a fundraising fun-run with colour-bombs, the availability of glamping and much more,” he said.<\/p>\n
