Farmers and small agribusinesses finding it difficult to tap into overseas markets can seek help from a $6.1 million, four-year extension of the Federal Government’s Package Assisting Small Exporters (PASE) grants program.<\/p>\n

\u201cBoosting exports will be crucial if we are to reach our target to grow agriculture to a $100\u00a0billion sector by 2030,” Agriculture\u00a0Minister Senator Bridget McKenzie said.<\/p>\n

“To do that we need to give a hand to agribusinesses, especially those finding it difficult to navigate the export system.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese grants were established by our government in 2015 to help farmers and small export businesses across agriculture, in the dairy, fish, eggs, grain, plant, horticulture, meat and animal product industries.<\/p>\n

\u201cPASE grants totalling $10.45 million have so far funded 58 projects across a number of industries.”<\/strong><\/p>\n

Applications for PASE grants opened on Tuesday (December 17) and will close on February 28.<\/p>\n
