December 8, 2019<\/strong><\/p>\n

A 31-year-old man has been flown to hospital in a critical condition after a head-on collision on Kingaroy-Burrandowan Road at Chahpingah on Sunday afternoon.<\/p>\n

Emergency services were called at 12:48pm and multiple ambulances responded.<\/p>\n

An RACQ LifeFlight helicopter was also despatched and landed in a paddock near the scene.<\/p>\n

Paramedics treated the male driver of one of the vehicles for serious head injuries.<\/p>\n

He was then transferred to the waiting helicopter for transport to the Royal Brisbane Hospital.<\/p>\n

The 39-year-old female driver of the other car was assessed by paramedics but did not require transport to hospital.<\/p>\n

The crash occurred about one kilometre from the intersection with Ironpot Road.<\/p>\n

The Police Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.<\/p>\n
