The South Burnett Car Club’s annual Show & Shine Swap Meet<\/strong> attracted an array of classic street machines – and a few motorbikes – at the Nanango Rugby League ground on Sunday morning.<\/p>\n

There was everything from an exotic BRP Can-Am three-wheel roadster to a GT Falcon replica for visitors to drool over.<\/p>\n

Amongst the show entrants was Geoff Collett, of Benarkin, who has spent about $50,000 (until he stopped counting) over the past 10 years restoring his 1971 Pontiac Trans-Am.<\/p>\n

Peter Marshall, from Kingaroy, brought his 1965 XP Ford straight from a night of racing at Willowbank Raceway. The Falcon, which has a modified 302 fitted, recorded a 14.32 – its best-ever pass – to be runner-up in the Hot Street time bracket. Peter’s spent about 10 years building the car.<\/p>\n

Entries also came from other local clubs, including the Gas Guzzlers.<\/p>\n

Tammy and Gerard Greenslade’s 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air four-door hardtop was fully restored in 2008 and is now running a 350 motor with a Turbo 400 transmission.<\/p>\n
