Murgon police are hoping there’s lots of people out in the community willing to don face masks to conceal their true identities …<\/p>\n

But local banks needn’t worry. It’s all for a good cause.<\/p>\n

The Murgon Police Charity Masquerade Ball will be held on Saturday, November 23, at the South Burnett PCYC.<\/p>\n

Office-in-charge of Murgon Police, Senior Sergeant Steven Stewart, said there would be auctions and raffles on the night, with lots of prizes to be won.<\/p>\n

In fact, a room in the station is now packed with prizes, including paintings, gift packs and vouchers – all donated by generous individuals and businesses.<\/p>\n

Entertainment will be provided by local musicians, including Alex The Frenchman and Louise Winton. There’ll also be a DJ in action.<\/p>\n

All proceeds from the black-tie event will go to supporting the PCYC’s BYTE Nite program which is tackling youth crime in the region.<\/p>\n

Tickets must be pre-booked ASAP at Murgon Police Station.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Tickets are $65 a head or $390 for a table of six, which includes a two-course dinner and finger food.<\/p>\n

Snr Sgt Stewart said he wanted to thank Murgon Rotary for their help. The service club has left the stage and acoustic sound blankets in place after the recent Muster.<\/p>\n
