Sections of bitumen roads in the Cooyar and Yarraman areas will be resealed as part of Toowoomba Regional Council\u2019s $8 million annual regional road reseal program.<\/p>\n

Deputy Mayor Carol Taylor said the program would restore and improve road surfaces on more than 200km of bitumen seals across the TRC’s road network.<\/p>\n

\u201cResealing is a very economical way to help preserve our road network, which is one of our greatest assets. The work involves spraying bitumen and rolling in a layer of uniformly sized stones to create a new surface,” she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe reseal is primarily about waterproofing the surface to protect the pavement and extend its life, as well as improve surface texture issues.”<\/p>\n

Other areas covered by the program include Acland, Boodua, Bowenville, Brymaroo, Clifton, Crows Nest, Djuan, Glencoe, Goombungee, Gowrie Junction, Greenmount, Hampton, Highfields, Kleinton, Meringandan, Millmerran, Oakey, Pittsworth and Ravensbourne.<\/p>\n
