Kingaroy State High School’s Class of 1999 got back together recently for a 20th anniversary reunion<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

October 11, 2019<\/strong><\/p>\n

Some ex-students travelled hundreds of kilometres for the recent reunion of Kingaroy State High School’s graduating class of 1999.<\/p>\n

But others – including current Kingaroy State High teacher Don Mengel – didn’t have to travel too far at all.<\/p>\n

The idea for the reunion came from Kingaroy mum Sara Bliesner (nee Knopke), who was keen to reunite with former classmates and see how their lives had changed<\/p>\n

The ex-students gathered at the Kingaroy Hotel-Motel to swap memories.<\/p>\n

Almost 30 former classmates and their partners got together for the relaxed night out.<\/strong><\/p>\n

They came from as far afield as Melbourne, Bundaberg, Mackay, Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast to meet, greet and reminisce.<\/p>\n

“It was a great night!” Sara told southburnett.com.au <\/strong>later.<\/p>\n

“It was as if the last 20 years hadn’t even passed.\u00a0We simply picked up where we left off.”<\/p>\n
