Kingaroy police joined officers from Toowoomba and Dalby in drug raids across the Toowoomba region on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Police executed 11 search warrants at Kingsthorpe, Ballard, Oakey, Cambooya, Harristown and Jondaryan as part of Operation Quebec Oxygen.<\/p>\n

Police allegedly located small quantities of methamphetamine, cannabis and cash.<\/p>\n

Fourteen people were charged with a total of 644 drug offences, including trafficking, supply and possession.<\/p>\n

Detective Inspector Mat Kelly said these types of operations were aimed at reducing harm posed by illicit drugs in rural areas.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese operations, supported by local intelligence and valuable information from across the community, will continue to be executed across the South West District and throughout the Southern Policing Region,\u201d Det Insp Kelly said.<\/p>\n

\u201cBy disrupting criminal behaviour in this way, we aim to deter future offending.\u201d<\/p>\n

The raids were a co-operative effort between the Dalby and Toowoomba CIBs, the Toowoomba and Kingaroy Major and Organised Crime squads, the Toowoomba Tactical Crime squad and the Dog Squad.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
