A large crowd turned out to the Kingaroy Bowls Club on Sunday afternoon to help raise funds for South Burnett Autism Support Group at the annual Autism Bowls Challenge<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

September 25, 2019<\/strong><\/p>\n

Kingaroy Bowls Club\u2019s greens were abuzz on Sunday afternoon for the annual Autism Bowls Challenge.<\/p>\n

Kingaroy Rotary and the Kingaroy Bowls Club joined forces to put on a fundraising afternoon for the South Burnett Autism Support Group.<\/p>\n

Bowlers and non-bowlers took to the greens to have a go and test their luck at winning a spot prize.<\/p>\n

Rotary Club member Wayne Bushell hosted another of the day’s attractions.<\/p>\n

Wayne prepared a range of his famous “Bushy Burgers” for lunch, assisted by Ian Hall and Ray Pitt.<\/p>\n

The South Burnett Autism Support Group was founded by Kingaroy mum Jenny Lutz in the mid-1990s.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Jenny is still a local contact for the group, and she was out bowling with the best of them on Sunday.<\/p>\n

The South Burnett Autism Support Group meets on the second Friday of the month at 7:00pm at SBCare in Kingaroy.<\/p>\n
