Tractors and trucks manufactured by International Harvester will be be the focus of this weekend’s Kingaroy and District Vintage Machinery Club rally in Kingaroy.<\/p>\n

The brand dates back to 1902, when the McCormick Harvesting Machine Company, Deering Harvester Company and several smaller agricultural equipment firms merged in the United States to form International Harvester.<\/p>\n

IH’s McCormick-Deering tractors were a familiar sight on South Burnett farms for years and many are expected to turn out for this weekend’s rally.<\/p>\n

But there won’t just be IH tractors and trucks on show.<\/p>\n

The massive display, at the club’s grounds in Geoff Raph Drive near Kingaroy Airport, will also include stationary engines, crawlers, cars, motorbikes, harvesters and steam engines.<\/strong><\/p>\n

All the popular attractions will be back as well, including grand parades each day, tractor pulling, corn threshing and the slow tractor races.<\/p>\n

The two-day rally gets under way at 8:00am on Saturday with a “tractor trek”.<\/p>\n

This will be followed by tractor pulls and the slow tractor race at 9:00am.<\/p>\n

The first of the two Grand Parades on Saturday is scheduled for 10:00am (the second will be at 2:00pm).<\/p>\n

During the afternoon there will also be corn-picking and threshing demonstrations, a ploughing demonstration (4:00pm) and another tractor pull.<\/p>\n

On Sunday, the day will start with the tractor trek at 8:00am, followed by tractor pull and slow tractor race at 9:00am and a Grand Parade at 11:00am.<\/p>\n

The day will wind up at noon.<\/p>\n

Entry is $10 for adults, children under 12 are free<\/b><\/p>\n
