Flood Recovery Officer Damien O'Sullivan<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Flood Recovery Officer Damien O’Sullivan will be in attendance at the eight Community Flood Recovery meetings next week to provide more information for primary producers on what financial assistance is available in the wake of the Australia Day weekend floods.<\/p>\n

“We can offer contacts and information in regards to farm management advice as a result of the floods, this includes people accessing information on how to deal with stray stock that they may have found after the floods and identifying stock,\u201d Mr O\u2019Sullivan said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI will be attending all of the gatherings to help share how the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry can assist primary producers.\u201d<\/p>\n

Eligible primary producers and businesses are now able to apply for concessional interest rate loans of up to $650,000, including grants of up to $50,000.<\/p>\n

“The Community Recovery Information Gatherings are a great opportunity for our farmers, businesses and residents to gather information about financial and funding options. These gatherings give people the opportunity to talk one-on-one with support agencies,\u201d South Burnett Mayor Wayne Kratzmann said.<\/p>\n

There also be representatives present from the Department of Communities, Centrelink, Centacare South Burnett, BIEDO, Farm Financial Counsellor Alan Broome, and South Burnett Regional Council staff.<\/p>\n
