South Burnett artist Olivia Everitt is co-ordinating a free youth public art project in Murgon during the school holidays and she’s issued an invitation to local youngsters to come along.<\/p>\n

The three-day project has been supported by the South Burnett PCYC, South Burnett Regional Council and the Regional Arts Development Fund,<\/p>\n

Youth of all ages have been invited to come along and learn aerosol painting techniques from local artist Kane Brunjes.<\/p>\n

Artworks will be painted on the\u00a0amenities blocks in Lamb Street which have been repeatedly targeted by graffiti and vandalism in the past.<\/p>\n

“There’s no need to book, just pop along and stay for a little bit or as long as you like,” Olivia said.<\/strong><\/p>\n

“Kane is designing the artwork and facilitating the workshops and it should be a great few days!”<\/p>\n

Kane has worked on other murals in the Murgon area, including inside the PCYC auditorium and on the wall of the Telstra substation.<\/p>\n

The art project will run from 10:00am to 3:00pm on Monday (September 30) to Wednesday, (October 2) at the toilet blocks, next door to the Murgon Visitor Information Centre.<\/p>\n
