There was plenty of events happening in Kingaroy at the weekend, but one of the happiest had to be a 40th high school reunion dinner.<\/p>\n

About 25 people responded to the callout for the Kingaroy State High School Class of 1979 reunion, but even more – accompanied by their partners – turned up at Kingaroy RSL Club on Saturday night.<\/p>\n

Peals of laughter could be heard coming from the private function which booked out the club’s White Room.<\/p>\n

This is the third reunion the ex-students have organised. Previous get-togethers have been held at the 10-year and 20-year anniversaries.<\/p>\n

The reunion attracted some very long-distance returnees to Kingaroy … from Alice Springs, Melbourne, Katherine and even Jakarta!<\/p>\n

Memorabilia on display included old photographs and copies of the Kingaroy State High School magazine Noorook.<\/p>\n
