September 5, 2019<\/strong><\/p>\n Police have not been able to substantiate a complaint that drugs were distributed at a recent Blue Light disco in Kingaroy.<\/p>\n A claim by a local mother that her son had reacted to “acid” was publicised widely on social media.<\/p>\n \u201cPolice are aware of allegations relating to illicit substances being distributed amongst juveniles at a community event in Kingaroy on August 30,” an official police response released on Thursday stated.<\/p>\n “Officers attending the event responded immediately to the claims and conducted thorough searches however no evidence of drugs was located.<\/strong><\/p>\n “Ongoing investigations into the matter by local police have not been able to substantiate the complaint or detect that an offence has occurred at this stage.<\/p>\n “Anyone who may have further information is urged to contact police.\u201d<\/p>\n Officer-in-charge of Kingaroy Police, Senior Sergeant Dave Tierney, said he had\u00a0every confidence in the Blue Light events held in Kingaroy and the wonderful volunteers that organised them.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Police have not been able to substantiate a complaint that drugs were distributed at a recent Blue Light disco in Kingaroy.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":20,"featured_media":219648,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":[],"categories":[3,24],"tags":[1132],"yoast_head":"\n
