A Kingaroy man is contemplating early retirement after winning more than $2.8 million in Saturday night’s Gold Lotto.<\/p>\n

He had one of the seven Division 1 winning entries nationally in Superdraw 3977, with each entry taking home $2,857,142.86.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a bit of a shock to the system,\u201d he told Golden Casket on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was at a Father\u2019s Day barbecue on Sunday night and I thought to myself \u2018I better check my Gold Lotto ticket from last night\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cThen I jumped on to my online account and saw six red numbers.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy wife and I checked it again and again and again and sure enough, it was right!<\/p>\n

\u201cIt couldn\u2019t have come at a better time. We\u2019ve had a rough start to the year.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is will just make life so much easier.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m going to retire soon, that\u2019s for sure. I\u2019ll be able to finally put my feet up and spend plenty more time with my kids.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe house also needs a new fence and roof.<\/p>\n
