A semi-trailer driver has been taken to Dalby Hospital with chest pain after a truck carting pigs crashed at Jimbour West on Monday morning.<\/p>\n

A police spokesperson said a large number of pigs had been either killed or injured.<\/p>\n

Several animals escaped\u00a0when the vehicle overturned.<\/p>\n

Western Downs council animal contractors were despatched to the scene to assist with the injured animals.<\/p>\n

The semi-trailer, from Kingaroy, tipped on its side on Kents Road.<\/p>\n
