Police from Kingaroy and Murgon stations have hosted \u201cCoffee With A Cop\u201d events to coincide with Road Safety Week, and both look to have been a success.<\/p>\n

Murgon’s inaugural \u201cCoffee With A Cop\u201d was held on Monday at The Coffee Bar 4605 in Lamb Street, and attracted local residents eager to chat with police.<\/p>\n

Kingaroy’s event, on Thursday at Muffin Break in Shoppingworld, was the\u00a0town’s third \u201cCoffee With A Cop\u201d and it proved as much of a success as its previous two outings.<\/p>\n

\u201cCoffee With A Cop\u201d was launched in the South Burnett last December as an easy, informal way for the public to meet their local police officers and raise any concerns about local issues.<\/p>\n

Kingaroy Officer-in-Charge Senior Sergeant Dave Tierney said he was very pleased with the attendance at the events so far.<\/p>\n

He hopes to run one more “Coffee With A Cop” in Kingaroy before the end of the year.<\/p>\n
