Cherbourg children have been given the best chance to succeed in life with the allocation of a full pre-prep program at Cherbourg State School.<\/p>\n

Almost 40 four-year-olds will fill two classes of kindergarten activities.<\/p>\n

Education Queensland\u2019s Darling Downs South West Queensland regional director Deborah Dunstone said funding the program was the right thing to do for the community.<\/p>\n

\u201cPre-prep provides a great start to children\u2019s learning journey,\u201d Mrs Dunstone said.<\/p>\n

Principal Peter Sansby said Cherbourg parents were keen to have the existing program grow as he has had to contend with long waiting lists for his previous part-time program.<\/p>\n

\u201cGetting a great start to your education is vital for your future happiness,\u2019 Mr Sansby said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese children will now get that start. With the help of their parents we\u2019ll be able to equip them with the learning and social skills they need to chase their dreams.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
