South Burnett Regional Council has been allocated $10,000 by the State Government to put towards its 2019-20\u00a0Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) program.<\/p>\n

The funding totals for local Councils were announced by Arts Minister Leeanne Enoch last week.<\/p>\n

Councils must top up these grants with at least another 40 per cent of the allocation from their own Budgets.<\/p>\n

\u201cRADF enables local councils and communities to determine arts and cultural priorities on a local level, with projects selected and developed by local councils,\u201d Ms Enoch said.<\/p>\n

\u201cProjects funded through RADF provide pathways for learning, contribute to the creation of jobs, foster creativity and boost cultural tourism.\u201d<\/p>\n

She said the establishment of the Regional Arts Services Network (RASN) last year by the State Government complemented the support provided through RADF.<\/p>\n

\u201cRASN would see RADF investment stretch even further in delivering benefits for councils by providing key collaborations and networking opportunities across regions,\u201d\u00a0Ms Enoch said.<\/p>\n

The largest RADF allocation for 2019-20 went to Sunshine Coast Regional Council: $110,000.<\/p>\n
