{"id":240267,"date":"2019-07-23T21:10:08","date_gmt":"2019-07-23T11:10:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/?p=240267"},"modified":"2019-07-23T21:10:08","modified_gmt":"2019-07-23T11:10:08","slug":"dangerous-driver-charged","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/2019\/07\/23\/dangerous-driver-charged\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8216;Dangerous&#8217; Driver Charged"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>July 23, 2019<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A 25-year-old Murgon man will face a string a charges after police allegedly spotted him driving dangerously on Cherbourg Road.<\/p>\n<p>The incident occurred about 6:30pm on July 10.<\/p>\n<p>Police intercepted the vehicle and as a result of further inquiries, the man will appear in Murgon Magistrates Court on August 20 charged with dangerous operation of a vehicle, unlicensed driving and unlawful possession of suspected stolen property.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>* * *<\/strong><\/h2>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #006699;\"><b>Traffic<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>July 5 &#8211; A 44-year-old Kingaroy man will appear in Murgon Magistrates Court on July 30 charged with drink-driving after police stopped his vehicle on the Bunya Highway at Wondai about 7:30am.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>July 6 &#8211; A 21-year-old Inala woman will appear in Murgon Magistrates Court on July 30 charged with drink-driving and unlicensed driving after police intercepted her vehicle on Borcherts Hill Road, Murgon, about 12:30am.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>July 8 &#8211; A 29-year-old Goomeri man will appear in Murgon Magistrates Court on September 3 charged with drug-driving after police stopped his vehicle about 11:00am on the Bunya Highway at Murgon.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>July 8 &#8211; A 47-year-old Cherbourg man will appear in Murgon Magistrates Court on August 6 charged with unlicensed driving after police stopped a vehicle on Cherbourg Road, Cherbourg, about 12:30pm.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>July 10 &#8211; A 63-year-old Murgon man will appear in Murgon Magistrates Court on July 30 charged with drink-driving after police stopped a vehicle in Gore Street, Murgon, about 1:30pm.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>July 11 &#8211; A 44-year-old Wondai man will appear in Murgon Magistrates Court on July 30 charged with unlicensed driving, and driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle after police stopped a vehicle on Coronation Drive at Murgon about 12:50pm.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>July 18 &#8211; A 24-year-old Wondai man will appear in Murgon Magistrates Court on August 6 charged with drink-driving after police stopped his vehicle in Mackenzie Street, Wondai, about 7:40pm.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>* * *<\/strong><\/h2>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #006699;\"><b>Property<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>A 12-year-old boy will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justic Act after a string of wheelie bin fires in Cherbourg on July 18-19. The incidents occurred in Barber Street and Baramabah Avenue.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>July 13 &#8211; About 5:00am, a man allegedly damaged a door at a residence in Broadway Street, Cherbourg. A 27-year-old Cherbourg man will appear in Cherbourg Magistrates Court on July 24 charged with wilful damage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Investigations are continuing into a number of other incidents:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>July 6 &#8211; About 8:15am, a thief stole multiple items from packets at a business in Lamb Street, Murgon.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>July 6 &#8211; Between 1:00pm and 9:30pm, thieves damaged a door to break in to a house in Lamb Street, Murgon, before stealing personal items.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>July 6 &#8211; About 10:30pm, a would-be thief was disturbed by a resident after they broke into a property on Boat Mountain Road, Murgon. The offender gained entry through an unsecured window by removing a screen.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>July 9 &#8211; Between 4:45pm and 5:30pm, a door was kicked in at a home in Black Street, Murgon. The unknown offender then damaged property before departing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>July 12 &#8211; Between 7:00pm and 7:15pm, multiple windows were smashed on a parked police vehicle in Barber Street, Cherbourg.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>July 14 &#8211; About 7:00pm, rocks were thrown at a vehicle in Broadway Street, Cherbourg, smashing a window.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>July 17 &#8211; About 3:15pm, rocks were thrown at a residence in Barber Street, Cherbourg, damaging multiple windows.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>* * *<\/strong><\/h2>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #006699;\"><b>Drugs<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>July 9 &#8211; About 7:30am, police searched a house in Barambah Avenue, Cherbourg. A 52-year-old Cherbourg woman will appear in Cherbourg Magistrates Court on July 24, charged with possessing dangerous drugs and drug utensils.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>July 9 &#8211; About 6:50pm, police were conducting inquiries at an address in Broadway Street, Cherbourg. when they allegedly located drugs and drug items. A 25-year-old Cherbourg woman will appear in Murgon Magistrates Court on August 6 charged with possessing dangerous drugs, drug utensils, and property suspected of having been used in connection with the commission of a drug offence.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>July 11 &#8211; About 9:00pm, police stopped a vehicle on Stephens Street, Murgon. A 53-year-old Deep Creek man will appear in Murgon Magistrates Court on July 30 charged with possessing dangerous drugs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>July 18 &#8211; About 11:20pm, police spoke to a boy in Gore Street, Murgon. A subsequent search allegedly located dangerous drugs. A 16-year-old Murgon boy will be dealt with under the Youth Justice Act.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>July 19 &#8211; About 12:50pm, police stopped and searched a man in Macalister Street, Murgon. A 25-year-old Murgon man will appear in Murgon Magistrates Court on August 6 charged with possessing drug utensils.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>* * *<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Police from Murgon, Cherbourg and Wondai responded to a variety of incidents between July 5-19 including drug, traffic and property offences.
