Kingaroy bowler Tony Dugdell tore through the Murgon batsmen to take six wickets in the A Grade cricket match played at Lyle Vidler Oval in Kingaroy on Saturday.<\/p>\n

In a display of excellent bowling, Dugdell finished with 6\/3 off just five overs.<\/p>\n

Kingaroy RSL won the toss and batted first.<\/p>\n

Anthony Eden (77) led the way with the bat.<\/p>\n

Kingaroy were all out for 206 despite the best efforts of Murgon bowler Derek Sander who took 4\/19 off \u00a0nine overs.<\/p>\n

In reply, Crusaders were bowled out for just 25.<\/p>\n

* * *<\/strong><\/p>\n

In B Grade, the positions have been decided for next week’s first round of semi-finals.<\/strong><\/p>\n

After the final round of regular competition, Warriors finished on top of the table. They will face Wondai, who came in second, in the first semi-final.<\/p>\n

The winner of this game will go directly into the grand final while the loser will play the winner of the sudden-death semi-final between Kumbia (3rd) \u00a0and Murgon Diggers (4th).<\/p>\n

Plate finals will be played between Murgon Magic (5th) v Kingaroy RSL (8th) and Barambah (6th) v Murgon Colts (7th).<\/p>\n

Murgon Diggers faced Wooroolin Warriors on a wet turf wicket at Murgon Showgrounds on Saturday. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Diggers batted first and were bowled out for 131 in the 30th over.<\/p>\n

Best of the Murgon batsmen were Ryan Stower (26 n\/o), Clinton Suchoronczak (25), Joel Sommerfeld (25), Troy Litzow (18) and Nathan Nixon (14).<\/p>\n

The Warriors’ bowlers shared the workload: Hayden Weick took 2\/40 off seven overs, Ian Haack \u00a0(2\/22 off five), Dane Bloomfield (2\/22 off six) and Brodie Dionysius (2\/20 off four)<\/p>\n

In reply, Warriors held on by their fingernails to make 104 before being bowled out in the 32nd over. \u00a0They were 9\/31 in the 16th over.<\/p>\n

Jason Neuman (33) and Ian Haack (33 n\/o) were the top scorers while Peter Sorenson made a handy 11.<\/p>\n

Steven Alexander did most of the damage, taking eight wickets and finishing with the remarkable\u00a0figures of 8\/17 off eight overs.<\/p>\n

The other wickets fell to Russell Litzow (1\/14 off eight) and Nathan Nixon (1\/23 off 7.5 overs).<\/p>\n

Diggers won by 26 runs.<\/p>\n

Kumbia lost only two wickets while chasing down Kingaroy RSL’s total of 104 in their B Grade match played at Taabinga State School.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Kumbia won the toss and sent Kingaroy in to bat.<\/p>\n

Jacob Heidrich was the pick of the Kingaroy RSL batsman making 41 and Dan Trace hit 27.<\/p>\n

Best of Kumbia bowlers were Roger Hoare (3\/18 off eight overs) and Bevon Fawcett (2\/14 off six overs). \u00a0Kallan Cross, Brian Walters and Ryan Kelly all took one wicket.<\/p>\n

In reply, \u00a0Shane Laherty (63 n\/o) and Ryan Kelly (48 n\/o) were the best of the batsmen.<\/p>\n

Heidrich was again the best for Kingaroy, taking 2\/33 off seven overs.<\/p>\n

Wondai Wolves defeated Murgon Magic by four wickets at Murgon Sportsground on Saturday.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Magic batted first, making 94 after 23 overs. Top scorers were\u00a0Tom Paton (25) and Tom McDowell (22).<\/p>\n

Best of the Wondai bowlers were Clayton Graham (3\/24 off six overs) and Chris Bodey (2\/17 off five overs).<\/p>\n

In reply, Wolves chased down the runs in the 27th over with the loss of six wickets. James Cameron (33), Matt Stumer (17) and Geoff Wallis (14) were best with the bat,<\/p>\n

Best of the Murgon bowlers were S Robinson (2\/19 off six overs) and Tom Paton (2\/23 off eight overs)<\/p>\n

The South Burnett XI has been selected to play in the Goodchild Shield grand final againat Bundaberg which will be played on Sunday (February 24) at Lyle Vidler Oval in Kingaroy:<\/strong><\/p>\n
