An attempt by police to intercept a stolen car in Kingaroy last week ended in failure when the driver began driving dangerously in a bid to get away.<\/p>\n

Police conducting mobile patrols last Tuesday (June 11) spotted the stolen Subaru Forester at 12:20am at a business in Youngman Street.<\/p>\n

They attempted to intercept the stolen vehicle, but due to dangerous driving by the unknown driver they discontinued the attempt.<\/p>\n

Investigations are continuing.<\/p>\n

Investigations are also continuing into a number of property-related offences:<\/strong><\/p>\n

  • June 9: A stereo head unit was stolen from a Mitsubishi Triton which had broken down and was left overnight at the intersection of the D\u2019Aguilar Highway and Sommerfields Lane at Coolabunia.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
      \n
    • June 12: Thieves used a back window to enter a house being renovated in Glendon Street, Kingaroy. They stole building materials, household items and tools.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
        \n
      • Between June 1-15, a thief entered an unlocked shed on Kingaroy-Burrandowan Road and stole a chainsaw, brush cutter, shovel and rake.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        • June 14: A 59-year-old Kingaroy woman will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on July 1 charged with drink-driving after police stopped her Nissan coupe in Walter Road, Kingaroy, at 8:35pm.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          • June 15: A 20-year-old Nanango man will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on July 15 charged with unlicensed driving after police pulled over his Ford sedan on the D\u2019Aguilar Highway about 11:00am. The man\u2019s licence was SPER suspended and he hadn\u2019t updated his address.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            Three people will also face drug-driving charges in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on August 19 after police roadside drug tests:<\/strong><\/p>\n

            • On June 15, a 49-year-old Alexandra Hills woman driving a Toyota sedan was stopped in Haly Street, Kingaroy, about 3:20pm.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

              • On June 16, an 18-year-old Kingaroy man driving a Toyota stationwagon was stopped in Avoca Street, Kingaroy, at 11:35am.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                • On June 16, a\u00a0 31-year-old Kingaroy man driving a Ford stationwagon was stopped in Haly Street, Kingaroy, about 3:30pm. He was also charged with unlicensed driving.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                  Kingaroy Police responded to a variety of incidents between June 10-16 including drug, traffic, good order and property-related offences. They also attended five calls related to domestic violence, issued 10 infringement notices for life-endangering traffic offences and performed 214 roadside breath tests.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
