A 22-year-old Murgon man has been charged with drug offences after a police search on June 2.<\/p>\n

Murgon police executed the search warrant at an address in Lamb Street, Murgon, about 7:00pm.<\/p>\n

The man was due to appear in Murgon Magistrates Court on Tuesday charged with possessing drugs and drug utensils.<\/p>\n

Drugs<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

Recent traffic stops have resulted into two people facing drugs charges:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  • A\u00a041-year-old Gympie man was due to appear in Murgon Magistrates Court on Tuesday charged with possessing drug utensils after police stopped a vehicle on Barambah Road at Moffatdale at 9:50pm on June 3.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
      \n
    • An 18-year-old Murgon woman will appear in Murgon Magistrates Court on July 2, charged with drug possession after police stopped and searched a vehicle in Watt Street, Murgon, about 8:30pm on June 4.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Property<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

      Investigations are continuing into a number of property-related offences:<\/strong><\/p>\n

        \n
      • June 2 – Between 3:00pm and 9:00pm, the front door of a business in Fisher Street, Cherbourg, was damaged.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
          \n
        • June 3 – About 8:00pm, a brick was thrown at a police vehicle in Marshall Street, Cherbourg.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
            \n
          • June 7 – About 2:50pm, items were stolen from a business in Lamb Street, Murgon.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
              \n
            • June 7 – Between 11:30pm and midnight, a window of a business in Gore Street, Murgon, was smashed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
                \n
              • Between 4:20pm on June 7, and 11:25am the next day,\u00a0 a door to a business in Gore Street, Murgon, was damaged.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                In an unrelated incident, a 16-year-old Goodna boy will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act after he allegedly threw a rock at residence in Barber Street, Cherbourg, about 2:30pm on June 2.<\/p>\n

                Traffic<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

                Four people have been charged with unlicensed driving after police operations on June 6-7:<\/strong><\/p>\n

                  \n
                • A 42-year-old Kingaroy woman driving on the Bunya Highway at Murgon,<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
                    \n
                  • A 30-year-old Murgon man on Cherbourg Road at Murgon,<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
                      \n
                    • A 42-year-old Western Australian man on Lamb Street, Murgon; and<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
                        \n
                      • A 20-year-old Murgon man in Gore Street, Murgon.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                        They are all due to appear in Murgon Magistrates Court during July. As well:<\/p>\n

                        • A 42-year-old Murgon man will appear in Murgon Court on July 2 charged with driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle after police stopped his vehicle about 4:00pm on June 3 on the Bunya Highway at Murgon.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                          • A 32-year-old Murgon man will appear in Murgon Magistrates Court on July 9 charged with drink-driving after police stopped a vehicle in Gore Street, Murgon, about 10:00pm on June 7.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                            * * *<\/strong><\/h2>\n

                            Police from Murgon, Cherbourg and Wondai responded to a variety of incidents between May 31 and June 7 including drug, traffic and property offences. They also attended four calls related to domestic violence, issued 35 infringement notices for life-endangering traffic offences and performed 590 roadside breath tests.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
