South Burnett Saints got off to a good start in their game in the rain against Toowoomba at Lyle Vidler Oval in Kingaroy on Saturday afternoon.<\/p>\n

The home team was ahead by a goal at the first change and just two points behind at half-time in a closely matched game.<\/p>\n

But Toowoomba came out strongly after the break and powered home in the final quarter to win\u00a014.8-92 to\u00a07.11-53.<\/p>\n

Saints’ goals were kicked by Jordan Brooker (2), Brent Snow (2), Brenton Noe, James Packer and Adam Bowater.<\/p>\n

The men’s next match is an away game against Goondiwindi at Riddles Oval in Goondiwindi.<\/p>\n

The Saints’ women had no luck in their Kingaroy game aginst Toowoomba … going down\u00a025.21-171 to\u00a01.1-7.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Kiara Wright kicked the South Burnett goal.<\/p>\n

The women’s next game is on Saturday, June 15 in Toowoomba against University.<\/p>\n
