The LNP Opposition has called on the State Government to release the results of an independent review into Queensland\u2019s drought program.<\/p>\n

Opposition Leader Deb Frecklington and Deputy Leader Tim Mander urged Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk to make the report public immediately.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Palaszczuk Labor Government needs to stop sitting on this report,\u201d Mrs Frecklington said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was completed in January, yet the Premier and her embattled Agriculture Minister Mark Furner won\u2019t come clean.<\/p>\n

\u201cAn independent report into the effectiveness of Queensland\u2019s drought programs shouldn\u2019t be locked away.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mr Mander said communities deserved to know what\u2019s in the report.<\/p>\n

\u201cFailing to release the report creates uncertainty and that\u2019s the last thing these farmers need,” he said.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cLabor is once again showing its true colours by turning their back on regional Queensland.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Palaszczuk Labor Government is anti-jobs and anti-regions.\u201d<\/p>\n

LNP Shadow Agriculture Minister Tony Perrett said regional Queenslanders were sick and tired of being treated like second-class citizens.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis callous disregard for farmers and families battling the drought by the Palaszczuk Labor Government is a disgrace,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
