Three South Burnett race clubs will receive a total of $150,000 from the State Government for\u00a0new infrastructure.<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Kumbia Race Club<\/strong> – $100,000 for new tie up stalls<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
      \n
    • Nanango Race Club<\/strong> – $20,000 for barrier padding<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
        \n
      • South Burnett Race Club<\/strong> (Wondai) – $30,000 to refurbish the racing surface<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Racing Minister Stirling Hinchliffe said the funding was part of a $3.9 million country racing infrastructure package to be shared between 55 Queensland race clubs.<\/p>\n

        \u201cCountry racing is integral to communities and residents living in the Wide Bay-Burnett,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

        \u201cSmall non-TAB clubs are at the heart of these communities, bringing people together and supporting local economies.<\/p>\n

        \u201cThey\u2019re not rich clubs by any means, but they have to meet ongoing infrastructure needs and this doesn\u2019t always come cheap.<\/p>\n
