The weather was perfect … but where were all the cars? That’s what the organisers of Saturday’s Kingaroy Scouts car show could well be asking.<\/p>\n

The annual show’n’shine is an important fundraiser for the Bunya District Scouts and the organisers had planned a big day of activities, including evening entertainment with a DJ and dancing, free camping and a licensed bar.<\/p>\n

Bad sadly, the event wound down early about 3:30pm because of a lack of numbers.<\/p>\n

The morning started well, with a display by local fire and rescue crews “rescuing” an injured patient from a car wreck using the jaws of life.<\/p>\n

There was also a rural fire display which demonstrated on a mini-scale why it’s important to clear around your house.<\/p>\n

The vehicles that did show up for the show’n’shine were top notch, including several trucks, a handful of motorbikes and a range of utes, hotrods and classic sedans.<\/p>\n

Despite the low number of entries, judging went ahead and prizes, sponsored by Shannons Insurance, were distributed.<\/p>\n
