The annual Windera Music Muster is definitely going ahead this Saturday (February 16) despite many in the local community being hit hard by the recent floods.<\/p>\n

Windera State School P&C president Belinda Pennell said the committee had decided the show would go on especially as it would help to brighten everyone\u2019s spirits and take their mind off the massive clean-up task ahead.<\/p>\n

“Most of our school families are on properties in Windera and Booubyjan which have been severely impacted by the recent floods. But we\u2019ve decided to go ahead and put on what we think will be our best Windera Music Muster ever,\u201d Belinda said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe really hope everyone will get behind us and come along to the school next Saturday night to see talented and multi-award winning country music artists Lindsay Butler, Shaza Leigh and Ashley Cook.\u201d<\/p>\n

The open air event will be held in the Windera State School grounds from 3:00pm-11:00pm and will feature Golden Guitar winner Lindsay Butler, multi-award winning vocalist Shaza Leigh with the Butler show band of bush balladeer Ashley Cook, queen of country piano Peggy Gilchrist and Ken Grills.<\/p>\n

They promise to deliver a great entertaining show of quality country music, along with lots of local artists including Amber Goldsmith, Alice Benfer, Mal Brodie, Raglan, Bruzz, Joe Offord and many others.<\/p>\n

Plus there will be kids entertainment and great food including the very popular \u00a0kup murri, and a licensed bar within view of the stage.<\/p>\n

Camp sites are also available for $10.<\/p>\n

Entry is $15 for adults, $5 for high school students and free for primary school and under.<\/p>\n

Windera State School P&C runs the Music Muster annually to benefit the students and local community.<\/p>\n
