February 11, 2013<\/strong><\/p>\n

About 20 Neighbourhood Watch members and other community leaders from as far away as Kumbia attended the Gympie Cluster Neighbourhood Watch meeting last Wednesday night.<\/p>\n

The meeting was addressed by Gympie District Officer-in-Charge Superintendent Chris Sang who spoke about the proposed restructure of the Queensland Police Service and the effect it would have on the Gympie Police District.<\/p>\n

Senior Sergeant Mick Symes, who is the Executive Officer of the Gympie District Disaster Management Group, gave a briefing on the recent flooding in Gympie.<\/p>\n

Neighbourhood Watch group representatives also gave reports on the progress of their groups and the upcoming activities planned for 2013.<\/p>\n

The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 1, at the Gympie District Office, 30 Channon Street, Gympie at 5:30pm.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
