April 24, 2019<\/strong><\/p>\n

Police are investigating a crash which occurred at the corner of Walter Road and Knight Street in Kingaroy last Wednesday afternoon.<\/p>\n

About 3:45pm, an Isuzu truck allegedly failed to give way, sideswiping a Mercedes-Benz station wagon.<\/p>\n

No one was injured but the truck failed to stop.<\/p>\n

  • Thieves stole a handbag, jewellery and a mobile phone on Saturday from a unit in First Avenue, Kingaroy. Police believe the offenders entered via an unlocked back door.\u00a0Investigations are continuing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    • On Saturday evening, police had occasion to speak to a 28-year-old Kingaroy woman, in Haly Street, Kingaroy. A search allegedly located a quantity of jewellery. She will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on May 7 charged with possessing tainted property.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      • A 19-year-old Wondai man\u00a0will appear in Murgon Magistrates Court on June 18 charged with drug-driving after police stopped a\u00a0Toyota sedan in Kingaroy Street, Kingaroy, on Friday afternoon.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        • A 24-year-old Kingaroy man\u00a0will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on July 1\u00a0charged with drug-driving\u00a0after police stopped a\u00a0Nissan sedan in Walter Road, Kingaroy, on Saturday afternoon.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          • A 26-year-old Nanango woman\u00a0will appear in Nanango Magistrates Court on June 24\u00a0charged with drug-driving\u00a0after police stopped\u00a0a Holden stationwagon in Kingaroy Street, Kingaroy, on Saturday afternoon.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            • A 28-year-old Alice Creek woman\u00a0will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on May 20 charged with unlicensed driving after police pulled over her Ford sedan in Markwell Street, Kingaroy, on Sunday night.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

              Drugs\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

              Three people will appear\u00a0in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on May 20 to face various drug-related charges:<\/strong><\/p>\n

              • An 18-year-old Kingaroy man has been charged with possessing drug utensils after police intercepted and searched him in Haly Street, Kingaroy, at 6:40pm on Saturday.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
                  \n
                • A 27-year-old Kingaroy man will face two drug charges after police stopped him in Haly Street, Kingaroy, at 9:30pm on Saturday. Police searched the man and allegedly located a small quantity of cannabis and a restricted drug.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
                    \n
                  • A 47-year-old Kingaroy woman has been charged with drug possession after police stopped a Nissan stationwagon in Albert Street, Kingaroy, on Sunday afternoon. Police searched the vehicle and allegedly located a small quantity of cannabis.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                    * * *<\/strong><\/h2>\n

                    Kingaroy police responded to a variety of incidents between April 15-21 including drug, good order, traffic, and property-related offences.<\/strong><\/p>\n

                    Police also attended two calls related to domestic violence, issued 19 infringement notices for life-endangering traffic offences and performed 46 roadside breath tests.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
