Band<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>April 11, 2019<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A group of about 20 Scots, and maybe-Scots, gathered at the Kingaroy Library on Thursday morning to explore the possibility of forming a Scottish cultural group in the South Burnett.<\/p>\n<p>The get-together &#8211; complete with Scotch Finger biscuits &#8211; was organised by\u00a0Wooroolin resident Lynnsay Fryer who is leader of Clan MacKinnon in Australia.<\/p>\n<p>He was joined at the microphone by David Brand, from Nanango, a member of Clan MacLachlan; and\u00a0piper Ross Page.<\/p>\n<p>Lynnsay said a Scottish cultural group could explore activities such as music, dancing, cooking and all the Scottish connections to the South Burnett.<\/p>\n<p>Events such as Burns Night and\u00a0Hogmanay could also be celebrated.<\/p>\n<p>Information about kilts, tartans, sporrans and the various clans was shared with the audience.<\/p>\n<p>Anyone who is interested in being part of a Scottish group should contact
