The Red Ant Round-Up attracted about 240 people – including more than 150 health professionals – to Kingaroy at the weekend.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0rural medical conference is organised every two years by the\u00a0Darling Downs and West Moreton Primary Health Network (PHN) in partnership with General Practice Training Queensland (GPTQ) and the Kingaroy GP Chapter Network.<\/p>\n

Attendees include GPs, nurses and allied health professionals.<\/p>\n

This is third time that it’s been held.<\/p>\n

The theme for this year’s event was \u201cA Country Practice \u2013 Everybody\u2019s Business\u201d.<\/p>\n

While the health professionals took part in workshops, discussions and networking events at the Kingaroy TAFE campus, their families had a choice of complementary activities to enjoy – including free entry into the Wine and Food in the Park festival.<\/p>\n

On Saturday night, attendees gathered at Kingaroy Town Hall for the conference dinner.<\/p>\n

They enjoyed pre-dinner drinks and hors d’oeuvres in the Glendon Street Forecourt before proceeding into the hall for dinner.<\/p>\n

Guest speaker was West Australian GP April Armstrong, the founder and director of Business for Doctors, who spoke about business management strategies.<\/p>\n
