March 10, 2019<\/strong><\/p>\n

A man was flown to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a serious but stable condition after a single vehicle rollover on the Cooyar-Mt Binga Road on Saturday morning.<\/p>\n

Emergency services were called to the scene at 6:54am but the incident is believed to have occurred several hours earlier.<\/p>\n

The driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, suffered suspected back, chest and abdominal injuries in the crash.<\/p>\n

An RACQ LifeFlight spokesperson said it was believed he had been trying to avoid hitting a kangaroo.<\/p>\n

QAS paramedics treated the man at the scene before he was transferred to the RACQ LifeFlight rescue helicopter.<\/p>\n

Firefighters were called to a large grass fire burning near the Chinchilla-Wondai Road on Saturday afternoon.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The fire broke out about 4:30pm.<\/p>\n

At 6:30pm, 11 fire crews were on the scene, including rural and urban units and a water tanker.<\/p>\n
