More than 600 eggs, who knows how much bacon and not enough bread … by any measure the “Beyond the Boundary” fundraising barbecue was a big success in Kingaroy on Wednesday morning.<\/p>\n

The main organiser, Senior Sergeant Dave Tierney, said he had no idea yet how much money had been raised but he was very happy with the rollout.<\/p>\n

The barbecue was organised by Kingaroy Police to assist the Winton community which was hit hard by the recent floods.<\/p>\n

Some Kingaroy officers have links to the region, but it is also the most northern part of the South-West police district, of which Kingaroy is a part.<\/p>\n

The barbecue was also supported by the South Burnett Regional Council, SunPork, Kingaroy State High School and Kingaroy Lions Club.<\/p>\n

CROW-FM did a live broadcast of their breakfast show, which added to the carnival atmosphere.<\/p>\n

A special visitor on the morning was recently appointed Inspector Graeme Paine, from the Dalby-Burnett Patrol Group.<\/p>\n

He took up his new role in October last year.<\/p>\n

The Dalby-Burnett Patrol Group is made of 19 police divisions or stations: Bell, Blackbutt, Cecil Plains, Cherbourg, Chinchilla, Cooyar, Dalby, Jandowae, Kingaroy, Kumbia, Meandarra, Millmerran, Murgon, Nanango, Peranga, Proston, Tara, Wondai and Yarraman.<\/p>\n
