Well-known artist and teacher Sue Lederhose shared some of her painting tips with a keen group of would-be watercolourists in Kingaroy last weekend.<\/p>\n

The group learned all about washes, practising their skills under Sue’s watchful eye in the 1913 Council Chambers.<\/p>\n

The two-day workshop was organised by the Kingaroy Arts Team.<\/p>\n

Sue was born in Murgon but lives these days in Mundubbera.<\/p>\n

She took up watercolour painting in 2002 and since then has won many prizes for her works, executed in graphite, charcoal and pastel as well as watercolour.<\/p>\n

The Kingaroy workshop was one of two watercolour workshops held in the South Burnett at the weekend.<\/p>\n

On Saturday, Graham W. Smith – a fellow of the Royal Queensland Art Society and master pastellist with the Pastel Society of Australia – held at full-day watercolour workshop at the Wondai Regional Art Gallery.<\/p>\n

Both workshops were booked out.<\/p>\n
