A man aged in his 60s was airlifted after being trampled by a cow south on a private property south of Gympie on Saturday afternoon.<\/p>\n

The Sunshine Coast-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter was despatched just before 2:00pm.<\/p>\n

A LifeFlight spokesperson said it was believed the property owner was trying to separate a calf from its mother when the cow ran down the man and stomped on him.<\/p>\n

Ambulance paramedics initially treated\u00a0the patient on the scene, before the LifeFlight crew arrived.<\/p>\n

LifeFlight’s Critical Care doctor treated the man for a serious head, chest and multiple limb injuries.<\/p>\n

He was airlifted to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a serious condition.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
