Kingaroy cricketer Holly Ferling has made an impressive debut for Australia, taking two wickets against Pakistan at the ICC Women’s World Cup being played in India.<\/p>\n

Ferling improved on the strong start she made in a warm-up match against the West Indies, where she took 1\/12 off five overs.<\/p>\n

Against Pakistan, she took 2\/10 off just three overs, and a dropped catch robbed her of another wicket.<\/p>\n

Pakistan were all out for 84. Australia won the game by 91 runs.<\/p>\n

Australia are leading their pool in the series, having played three games with no losses.<\/p>\n

After bowling Jason Koy for a duck, Nanango’s Brendan Weil was on a hat-trick during the A Grade match in Kingaroy; the new batsman in, Wayne Kelly, successfully defended his wicket<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Kingaroy RSL proved too strong for Nanango in their A Grade cricket match played at Lyle Vidler Oval on Saturday<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Kingaroy was bowled out for 271 in the 41st over. Top scorers were David Hosking (122) and Mark Schmidt (71).<\/p>\n

Best of the Nanango bowlers was Brendan Weil, who took 6\/57 off 8.3 overs.<\/p>\n

In reply, Nanango were bowled out for 41.<\/p>\n

The Kingaroy bowlers ripped through the Scorpions’ batters. Tony Dugdell finished with 3\/6 off seven overs while Darren Geiger took 2\/21 off seven overs.<\/p>\n

Wondai Wolves took on Kingaroy RSL in a B Grade game played at Taabinga.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Wolves batted first and were 154 after 26 overs.<\/p>\n

Topscorers for Wondai were Rory Brown and James Cameron, who both made 35, and Kiall Rowberry (34).<\/p>\n

Best of the Kingaroy bowlers were Adam Geiger, 5\/56 off eight overs, and L Fairburn 2\/30 off six overs.<\/p>\n

In reply, RSL was dismissed for 116. Top scorers were Craig Sippel (39) and J Heidrich (37).<\/p>\n

Best of the Wondai bowlers were Geoff Wallis, 4\/20 off eight overs; Clayton Graham, 2\/8 off four overs; and James Cameron, 2\/21 off five overs.<\/p>\n

Wolves won by 38 runs<\/p>\n
