Former Nanango State High School student Bree Pogany was presented with a $5000 bursary at a University of Southern Queensland ceremony on Thursday night.<\/p>\n

Bree, who has moved to Ipswich to study aviation, was presented with the Arrow Energy “Go Further” Indigenous Tertiary Scholarship.<\/p>\n

She said the bursary couldn\u2019t have come at a better time.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt has provided much-needed financial relief and allowed me to concentrate on preparing for my first semester of university,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s an honour to receive this scholarship and will only motivate me to work harder and succeed.\u201d<\/p>\n

Arrow Energy has supported Queensland Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander university students with the Go Further scholarship since 2012.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m proud to say that more than one Arrow scholar has been a first-in-family university student, which is proof that we have been able to make a difference,\u201d Arrow spokesperson Leisa Elder said.<\/p>\n
