The organisers of Kingaroy’s annual Community Christmas Lunch would like to thank all the sponsors and volunteers who ensured the 2018 event went smoothly.<\/p>\n

The Salvation Army community event is organised by a small committee which consists of volunteers from the Salvation Army, South Burnett CTC, the South Burnett Times and South Burnett Online.<\/p>\n

About 130 people enjoyed a roast dinner and dessert prepared and served by volunteers on December 25 at SBcare’s centre in Avoca Street.<\/p>\n

Many community groups and local businesses contributed to the day’s success.<\/p>\n

These included: Kingaroy Lions Club, Kingaroy Rotary Club, Taabinga Rotary Club, Kingaroy Quota, SBcare, Kingaroy Senior Citizen’s Club and Brumby’s Bakery.<\/p>\n

The volunteers who assisted on Christmas Eve and on Christmas Day were also invaluable, especially chef Jo Hillman and kitchen volunteer Graham Taylor.<\/p>\n
