A 32-year-old Labrador man will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on multiple charges following a wild ride to the South Burnett from the Gold Coast via Bribie Island.<\/p>\n

It will be alleged the man broke into a residence in Labrador on February 5 and stole a set of keys for a Holden Commodore, which he then drove off.<\/p>\n

Police allege the vehicle was then involved in a fuel drive-off from a service station at Nerang.<\/p>\n

At 3:50pm on February 6, the Commodore crashed into a stationary Toyota Yaris at a set of lights on Musgrave Avenue at Southport. <\/p>\n

Police allege the Commodore drove on to the footpath and left the scene. The two occupants of the car were not physically injured.<\/p>\n

Shortly afterwards, the Commodore was abandoned at a work site at Molendinar where a Mitsubishi Triton was stolen.<\/p>\n

At 2:00am on Saturday, police patrolling on Bribie Island spotted the stolen Triton. They activated lights and sirens however the vehicle allegedly sped away.<\/p>\n

About 5:00am the same day, a man filled up the Triton at a service station in Henry Street at Nanango and allegedly left without paying.<\/p>\n

At 10:17pm, the Triton was again filled up – this time at a service station on Youngman Street at Kingaroy – and again allegedly left without paying.<\/p>\n

At 11:29pm on Saturday, police located the Triton on Albert Street at Kingaroy and activated lights and sirens however the vehicle sped off. <\/p>\n

Police successfully stopped the vehicle by deploying a tyre deflation device on Kingaroy-Burrandowan Road. <\/p>\n

The man was arrested a short time later.<\/p>\n

He is facing 21 charges including breach of bail, burglary, break and enter, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, evading police, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, serious assault on a police officer, drug driving and failing to stop at a red light.<\/p>\n
