Excited children and adults are ready to get ‘mooovin’ at the annual Brahmousin Cattle School in Nanango this month.<\/p>\n

The cattle school will be held at Nanango Showgrounds over three days from February 15-17.<\/p>\n

This year’s event is expected to attract 150 participants.<\/p>\n

They’ll be supported by 100 volunteers, parents and teachers from all across Australia.<\/p>\n

The cattle school is organised by Amanda Graham and the Daly family, and 2019 will mark the 18th year the popular event has been held.<\/p>\n

Organisers said this year’s participant spots had sold out very quickly.<\/strong><\/p>\n

“Each year we get to see people from all walks of life take part,” Amanda said.<\/p>\n

“Both city and country people come along and learn important skills that not only help them find out how to show cattle and care for their animals, but also life skills like teamwork, public speaking and friendship.”<\/p>\n

The organisers hope locals will also come along to watch the activities.<\/p>\n

The cattle school is run by the Australian Brahmousin Association and is supported by a wide range of sponsors.<\/strong><\/p>\n

They include naming rights sponsor Westerham Concrete, and platinum sponsors Heritage Bank Nanango and the Martoo Review, among many others.<\/p>\n

“We’re extremely grateful to our sponsors for their continued investment to support the Nanango community and local agriculture,” Amanda said.<\/p>\n

“Their funding goes a long way towards keeping fees and costs down.<\/p>\n

“It also allows us to sponsor many disadvantaged students who want to learn more about cattle.”<\/p>\n
