Jason Virtue has been a guest speaker at a number of small business events in the South Burnett region in recent years<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

South Burnett small businesses will be able to receive\u00a0practical assistance and support through a new local Entrepreneurship Facilitator program funded by the Federal Government.<\/p>\n

Bundaberg Business Enterprise Centre will offer the program across the Wide Bay-Burnett region, including within the South Burnett, North Burnett and Cherbourg council areas.<\/p>\n

Manager Marcus McCormick said the team was excited to be delivering the service.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis program provides a great opportunity to drive new business growth and will support those who are interested in establishing a business, to take the required steps to give them the best chance of success,\u201d Mr McCormick said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have brought a team of Entrepreneurship Facilitators together who each have skills and experience in establishing and running their own businesses.<\/p>\n

“They will provide friendly and personalised service and will be available to meet with and provide one-on-one support to entrepreneurs and established business owners.<\/p>\n

“Our facilitators will also co-ordinate a number of informative business workshops across the region.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are currently in the process of establishing the services and will have offices open in Bundaberg and Gympie five days per week.<\/p>\n

“We will also be working from multiple locations across the region and will be available to meet with clients in locations across the North and South Burnett, Fraser Coast and Cherbourg areas.”<\/p>\n

Federal Member for Wide Bay Llew O\u2019Brien said the facilitators would connect people with services to help them start their own business.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cWith a facilitator based in Gympie servicing Gympie, South Burnett and Cherbourg Council areas, and another in Bundaberg looking after the Bundaberg and Fraser Coast Council areas, help is at hand to guide people through the process of getting their business off the ground.\u201d<\/p>\n
