January 29, 2019<\/strong><\/p>\n

Police are waiting to speak to the driver of a 4WD involved in a single-vehicle rollover which occurred on a private property near Mount Stanley on Sunday evening.<\/p>\n

Twelve people – including five children – were in the dual-cab ute when it rolled while trying to climb a hill.<\/p>\n

Seven were taken to hospital.<\/p>\n

The incident occurred near Eastern Branch Road, about 30km north of Linville.<\/p>\n

Several of the injured made their own way into Linville to seek help while local residents assisted others into town.<\/p>\n

The injured were met by ambulance paramedics in George Street about 5:22pm.<\/p>\n

QAS assessed a total of 10 patients, in Linville and at the crash site.<\/p>\n

The main street in Linville quickly became a hub of activity with several ambulances and police cars arriving.<\/p>\n

Two RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopters landed nearby to transport multiple patients.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Sunshine Coast-based helicopter airlifted two men to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital. One suffered suspected pelvic and leg injuries, the other shoulder and upper body injuries.<\/p>\n

The Toowoomba-based helicopter flew two women – one suffering neck pain and the other a broken leg – to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.<\/p>\n

Three children were also taken by road ambulance to hospital with abdominal pain – one to Esk Hospital and two to Ipswich Hospital.<\/p>\n
