South Burnett Regional Council road crews will carry out maintenance grades or gravel resheeting on 19 roads during January and February.<\/p>\n

Work crews will also slash a further 19 roadsides and continue work on three major construction projects, two of which were begun late last year.<\/p>\n

Roads portfolio chair Cr Gavin Jones told Council’s January meeting the Council’s 2018-19 road works program was making good progress.<\/p>\n

He looked forward to continuing road network improvements in the year ahead.<\/p>\n

Roads that will receive a maintenance grade are:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  • Darley Crossing Road, Brooklands<\/li>\n
  • Walsh Road, Runnymede<\/li>\n
  • Gleneriffe Road, Runnymede<\/li>\n
  • Green Lane, Runnymede<\/li>\n
  • Runnymede Road, Runnymede<\/li>\n
  • G. Andersons Road, Cushnie<\/li>\n
  • Kintyre Road, Cushnie<\/li>\n
  • Anderson Road, South Nanango<\/li>\n
  • Currawong Drive, Wilkesdale<\/li>\n
  • Vanderlugt Road, Wilkesdale<\/li>\n
  • Giblin Road, Wilkesdale<\/li>\n
  • O’Dea Road, Wilkesdale<\/li>\n
  • Boyne River Road, Boyneside<\/li>\n
  • Red Tank Road, Boyneside<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Gravel resheeting will be carried out on:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    • Kawl Kawl Road, Marshlands<\/li>\n
    • Jacksons Road, Durong<\/li>\n
    • Woltmanns Road, Durong<\/li>\n
    • Paines Road, Durong<\/li>\n
    • Meiers Road, North Kingaroy<\/li>\n
    • Weens Road, North Kingaroy (shoulder resheeting)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Council’s construction crews will work on:<\/strong><\/p>\n

        \n
      • Niagara Road at Boyneside – west of Bilboa Road – where crews will continue working on road formation and drainage extensions to assist construction of the Coopers Gap Wind Farm<\/li>\n
      • Concreting work on the Blackbutt drainage project, which began late last year, and<\/li>\n
      • Drainage improvements to Home Street in Nanango, where work is expected to start in late February<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Council’s slashers will trim road verges on:<\/strong><\/p>\n

        • Burnett Highway, north of Nanango<\/li>\n
        • Wattle Camp area (Wattle Camp, Franklin, Maguire, Brocklehurst, McNicholl and the Memerambi-Barkers Creek roads, Granite Crescent and Farr Court)<\/li>\n
        • Durong area (Chinchilla-Wondai, Stubbs-Armstrong, Woolletts, West Boondooma and Swaines roads, and Aberdeen Avenue)<\/li>\n
        • Manumbar area (Wansbeck-Manumbar and Manumbar roads)<\/li>\n
