Police will be out in force on South Burnett roads over the next few weeks<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

December 18, 2018<\/strong><\/p>\n

Five drivers have been charged with drug driving after being pulled over in Kingaroy by the Kingaroy Road Policing Unit … including four in just one shift!<\/p>\n

On December 6, police intercepted:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • A 44-year-old Kingaroy man driving on Youngman Street,<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
      \n
    • A 49-year-old Redland Bay man driving on Youngman Street,<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
        \n
      • A 22-year-old South Nanango woman driving on Somerset Street, and<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
          \n
        • A 23-year-old Wondai man driving on Parkside Drive.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          On December 15, a 23-year-old Kingaroy man was pulled over while travelling on Haly Street, Kingaroy.<\/p>\n

          All five drivers will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court.<\/p>\n

          * * *<\/strong><\/p>\n

          A 33-year-old Nanango man will face a charge of unlicensed driving after he was pulled over on the D\u2019Aguilar Highway at Coolabunia on Thursday afternoon.<\/strong><\/p>\n

          His vehicle was also immobilised for 90 days. He will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on January 21.<\/p>\n

          * * *<\/strong><\/p>\n

          On Friday morning,\u00a0the Kingaroy Road Policing Unit intercepted a 42-year-old Aratula man travelling south on the Bunya Highway at Kingaroy.<\/strong><\/p>\n

          When asked to provide his name, he allegedly gave his boss\u2019s name but later admitted he had lied.<\/p>\n

          He was issued with a Notice to Appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on January 21 to face charges of contravening a police requirement and disqualified driving.<\/p>\n

          * * *<\/strong><\/p>\n

          On Saturday night, police stopped a vehicle on Wondai-Proston Road for not having tail lights.<\/strong><\/p>\n

          The driver, a 49-year-old Proston man, allegedly tested positive for drink-driving (0.122 BAC).<\/p>\n

          Police will also allege the man had never held a licence. He will appear in Murgon Magistrates Court on January 22.<\/p>\n

          * * *<\/strong><\/p>\n

          Queensland Police will be conducting Operation Quebec Fatal 5 from December 14 to February 1, incorporating the Christmas Road Safety Campaign and back-to-school periods.<\/strong><\/p>\n

          The operation is designed to improve road safety and reduce the number of fatal traffic crashes and bicycle incidents.<\/p>\n

          Motorists can expect to see a higher number of police vehicles on highways and roads during this period.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
