feel for carnival night<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>December 16, 2018<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Predicted storms prompted the organisers of the annual Proston Christmas Carnival to shift the annual town celebration into Proston Community Hall on Saturday night.<\/p>\n<p>Community groups had stalls in the hall, while residents took the opportunity to sit, enjoy a few drinks (the licensed bar was open) and chat.<\/p>\n<p>Children weren&#8217;t forgotten, though &#8230; with a visit by Santa (who arrived on a ride-on mower!) plus ice creams, lollies and glow sticks courtesy of the Proston Men&#8217;s Shed.<\/p>\n<p>Other sponsors included Proston Lions Club, South Burnett Regional Council, Hivesville Markets, the Proston Show Society and the Proston Round Table group.<\/p>\n<p>CheeseWorld On The Move (Margaret and Gerry Gagel) and Mon-Dee Coffee 2 Go (Pat and Alan Eagleson) weren&#8217;t scared away by the prospect of rain, bringing along both their vans for the night.<\/p>\n<p>In nearby Blake Street, NB Inspirations, the Jacaranda Tearooms and Proston Health &amp;
